City police have arrested seven individuals, including an engineering student from Kerala, for their alleged involvement in selling cannabis. The accused were reportedly distributing drugs to college students and others in the area.
The arrested persons have been identified as Abdul Samad, Dharmalinga of Kurnad village, Daulat Kumar Sharma and Mohammed Kushalam from Bihar, and three others — Karthik, Mohith, and K.V. Pranav, the engineering student from Mallapuram, Kerala. The police are continuing investigations to uncover the full extent of the network.
