The Kunnathunad police arrested Aneesh Thalangattil, a 42-year-old employee of a Korea-based company, for allegedly defrauding the company of Rs 43 lakh. Aneesh, a native of Valayanchirangara, fled to Singapore following the scam but was apprehended upon his arrival at Thiruvananthapuram airport after a lookout circular was issued against him.
Police stated that Aneesh misappropriated funds sent by the company owner from abroad and proceeds from the sale of company goods. Additionally, he allegedly transported machinery from the company to set up a rubber products manufacturing unit in the Eloor area. The money from the machinery sale was transferred to a bank account solely operated by Aneesh, rather than the company’s account, according to officials.
