LYONS, N.Y. — A Lyons woman, Emily Oakes, was arrested on Friday night after a traffic stop led to the discovery of an active fugitive warrant from New Jersey.

Oakes was pulled over by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office on Route 31 in Lyons for having inadequate license plate lamps. During the stop, deputies determined that Oakes had a warrant out of New Jersey. With the help of the New York State Police, she was apprehended and transported to the Wayne County Jail.
