MARBLE HILL, Mo. (KBSI) — A Bollinger County man is behind bars after authorities arrested him on multiple felony charges involving child sex crimes.
According to the Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office, a felony warrant was issued on September 12 for Elzie Rhodes, charging him with:
Three counts of first-degree child molestation
One count of first-degree statutory rape
One count of forcible sodomy
The charges range from Class B felonies to unclassified felonies, reflecting the serious nature of the alleged offenses.
Deputies located Rhodes at his residence and arrested him without incident. He was booked into the Bollinger County Jail, where he is currently being held without bond.
Due to the sensitive nature of the case, officials stated that no further information will be released at this time. Rhodes remains in custody pending court proceedings.
Authorities stressed that Elzie Rhodes is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
