Elmira Man Arrested on Burglary Charge in Bradford County, Pennsylvania

Josiah M. Lewis, 19, Held for Extradition After Being Identified as Fugitive

BRADFORD COUNTY, Pa. – Josiah M. Lewis, 19, of Elmira, was arrested on April 17, 2025, after being identified as a fugitive of justice from Bradford County, Pennsylvania. Lewis was already being held at the Chemung County Jail when authorities learned of the outstanding warrant against him.

The warrant, issued by Bradford County, charged Lewis with burglary and overnight accommodation while violating Pennsylvania law. The crime was reportedly committed when no person was present at the location.

Lewis was processed as a fugitive from justice in Chemung County Court before being returned to the Chemung County Jail to await extradition to Pennsylvania, where he will face charges related to the alleged burglary.

The investigation into his activities continues as authorities work to bring him back to Pennsylvania for trial.
