A tip received by the Elko Combined Narcotics Unit led to the arrest of 19-year-old Adam Brooks of Elko on drug and weapon charges.

On Friday, officials acted on the tip that Brooks was allegedly dealing drugs from his apartment on College Parkway. Authorities secured a search warrant and executed it at the residence. During the search, Brooks was found in possession of cocaine, and authorities uncovered 17 grams of methamphetamine, a firearm, and paraphernalia associated with illegal drug sales inside the apartment.

Brooks was arrested and booked into the Elko County Jail on multiple charges, including maintaining a residence for drug distribution, possession of controlled substances (cocaine and methamphetamine), and allowing a minor to be present during illegal drug activities.

His bail has been set at $160,000.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with further information on this case or others involved in the sale of illegal drugs is encouraged to contact the Elko Police Department at (775) 777-7300 or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900.
