A Pittsford woman, Elizabeth Paulson, 31, was arrested Saturday night in connection with the theft of more than $2,000 worth of cigarettes from a Palmyra gas station earlier this summer.

Palmyra Police worked alongside the Newark Police Department to locate Paulson, who was taken into custody and transported to Wayne County Booking. She was held for CAP Court on an outstanding warrant.

The charges relate to a July investigation at the Marathon Gas Station on East Main Street. Police say Paulson, who was still undergoing onboarding training as a new employee at the time, stole cartons of cigarettes valued at over $2,000.

Paulson faces fourth-degree grand larceny charges, classified as a Class E felony.

Palmyra Police expressed gratitude to the Newark Police Department for their assistance in the arrest.
