RUTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) — Two Rutland residents were arrested Tuesday following a months-long drug investigation by Vermont State Police.
Elizabeth Capen, 33, and Daniel Robtoy, 38, were taken into custody at a residence on 180 South Main Street and are accused of selling cocaine. Police say confidential informants were used to purchase drugs from the suspects during the investigation.
During the search of the property, police recovered two firearms, including one loaded weapon, and found two children inside the home.
Capen, who is currently on furlough, was held on $5,000 bail following her arraignment. Robtoy is scheduled to appear in court in November.
Following the raid, Rutland’s Building and Zoning Department declared the home uninhabitable due to its condition.
