GREENVILLE, NC — A Greenville man is facing multiple felony charges following an arrest by the Greenville Police Department, according to court records.
Elijah Gorham, 27, was arrested for felony possession of cocaine and felony possession of a controlled substance on jail or prison premises, both with offense dates of Jan. 28, 2026. He also faces a charge of resisting a public officer, with an offense date of Jan. 27, 2026.
Court documents allege that Gorham possessed cocaine and violated state law by possessing a Schedule II controlled substance while on the premises of the Pitt County Detention Center.
Jail records show Gorham also had two outstanding failures to appear, related to previous charges for driving while license revoked (non-impaired) and possession of marijuana up to one-half ounce.
Gorham remains held at the Pitt County Detention Center pending further legal proceedings.
