The IS Sadan Police arrested Gulam Dastagir, an electrician, on Tuesday for the murder of advocate Errabapu Esrayel in East Maruthi Nagar, Champapet.
The incident occurred on the morning of Monday, March 24, when Dastagir, allegedly holding a personal grudge against Esrayel, stabbed him in the chest with a knife. The advocate was rushed to Apollo DRDO Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Police acted swiftly and took the accused into custody within 24 hours of the incident. A case of homicide has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
