The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared Haske, a prominent oil and aviation businessman, wanted after he reportedly jumped bail in a high-profile investigation linked to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
Haske, 38, was initially arrested and questioned over allegations involving shell companies, offshore accounts, and private jet operations used to move illicit funds connected to suspicious contracts and cash transfers tied to NNPC EnServe Ltd., a subsidiary under NNPCL’s Upstream Directorate.
Despite being granted bail, Haske failed to appear for subsequent hearings, prompting the EFCC to issue a nationwide alert seeking public assistance in his capture. He was last known to reside at No. 6 Mosley Road, Ikoyi, and 952/953 Idejo Street, Victoria Island, both in Lagos State.
The EFCC has urged Nigerians to report any information regarding Haske’s whereabouts to its offices across the country, including Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin, Makurdi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, and Abuja. Tips can also be submitted via the commission’s dedicated phone line and official email.
Notably, Haske is married to a daughter of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, a leading opposition figure in Nigeria.
The anti-corruption agency has warned that anyone aiding Haske’s evasion will face prosecution.
