Eduardo Parapar Caught After Week-Long Search in Florida

Eduardo Parapar, 23, was arrested Tuesday in northwestern Florida after being on the run for a week, according to the Hialeah Police Department. A former linebacker and wide receiver for Westland Hialeah High School’s football team, Parapar was taken into custody and booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail.

Deputies pulled Parapar over for erratic driving. He initially gave them a false name before fleeing the scene on foot. A K9 unit was deployed, and deputies eventually apprehended him. Authorities soon confirmed Parapar as a fugitive from Hialeah wanted in connection with a burglary investigation, describing him as “armed and dangerous.”

In Santa Rosa County, Parapar now faces multiple charges:

Two counts of possession of a controlled substance (excluding marijuana)

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Resisting arrest without violence

Providing a false name to law enforcement

His bond was set at $7,000. Additionally, he is being held on a warrant out of Miami-Dade County related to the initial case that led to the manhunt.
