Additionally, two armed robbery suspects, Ozuluonye Okonkwo, 21, and Anukwu Joseph, were arrested for their involvement in robbing three houses around Koka in Asaba, Delta State. Okonkwo was apprehended first, followed by Joseph, the gang leader and gun supplier, who remains on the run.

In another operation, police also arrested a 65-year-old illicit drug dealer, David Ikama, during a stop-and-search along the Kwale/Ogwashi-Uku Express Road. The suspect’s vehicle was found to be carrying a significant quantity of illegal drugs, including 1,266 bottles of codeine syrup, 604 tablets of tramadol, 54 tablets of Swinol, and 90 sachets of Rohypnol.

According to Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, Okonkwo admitted to his involvement in the Koka robberies, which led to the arrest of Anukwu Joseph. While Joseph is currently in custody, the investigation continues as authorities pursue the remaining gang members, including their gun supplier.
