Dy’Yon Hall and Aquallo Brown Plead Guilty in Fatal 2023 Shooting

Both sentenced for accessory after the fact in second-degree murder case

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. — Two individuals have pled guilty in connection with a fatal shooting that took place in May 2023.

On October 13, 2025, 22-year-old Dy’Yon Hall and 21-year-old Aquallo Brown pled guilty to accessory after the fact to second-degree murder, authorities said.

The incident occurred just after midnight on May 14, 2023, when police were dispatched to the 1400 block of River Road following reports of a verbal disturbance. Upon arrival, officers found 40-year-old Tavori Fletcher and 35-year-old Cedric Green suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Both victims were rushed to a local hospital, but Fletcher later died from his injuries at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center.

Following their guilty pleas, Hall was sentenced to four to six years in prison, while Brown received a sentence of four to five years.
