Two men have been sentenced to a combined 10 years in prison after stealing a Volkswagen Golf R at knifepoint in South Staffordshire.
Dylan Maskery Hurd, 19, and Callum Talbot, 23, were riding a moped on September 11, 2023, when they spotted a man exiting his vehicle on Brooke Road, Wombourne. One of them, armed with a knife, attacked the victim and stole his car keys from his pocket before fleeing the scene.
Investigation & Arrest
Staffordshire Police found the stolen vehicle abandoned in a car park on Terrace Street, Brierley Hill. CCTV footage helped officers identify the suspects, leading to their arrest and subsequent charges.
Both men pleaded guilty to robbery and were sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on March 21, 2024.
Callum Talbot, from Featherstone, received six years in prison.
Dylan Maskery Hurd, from Abbey Hulton, Stoke-on-Trent, was sentenced to four years.
