DUSON, La. — A 28-year-old Lafayette man was arrested at a hotel following a reported shooting in Duson, according to police.
Authorities say Dylan Cross was taken into custody and booked into the Acadia Parish Jail.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired near Daulat Drive and determined the suspected shooter was staying at a nearby hotel. When deputies entered the hotel room, they reported seeing multiple narcotics and drug paraphernalia in plain view.
During the search, authorities recovered two handguns, including one reported stolen, as well as methamphetamine, marijuana, fentanyl, a large assortment of pills, and various items of drug paraphernalia.

Seven counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute Amphetamine
Four counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl
Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine
Possession with Intent to Distribute Vyvanse
Possession with Intent to Distribute Xanax
Possession of a Stolen Firearm
Two counts of Illegal Carrying of a Weapon in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance
