A Maryland man has been arrested for home improvement fraud after an extensive investigation in Sussex County. Dylan Crew, 26, operated under the business name Coastline Contractors Group, LLC, and was accused of defrauding multiple victims.
The investigation, which began in October 2024, revealed that Crew had signed contracts with six different victims for residential renovations and construction services. However, it was discovered that, despite receiving over $1 million in payments, none of the projects were ever completed.
Detectives issued arrest warrants for Crew, who turned himself in to Troop 4 last week. He faces numerous charges, including three counts of home improvement fraud involving $100,000 or more, and additional counts related to theft, fraud, and victimizing individuals over 62 or with disabilities.
Crew was later released on a $132,000 unsecured bond.
