PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – A Grimesland man is in custody after Pitt County deputies say they found multiple drugs during a search of his home.
According to the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office, deputies executed a search warrant at a Washington Street residence after receiving community tips about possible drug activity. During the search, officers seized heroin and fentanyl.
Deputies arrested 35-year-old Dustin Dixon, charging him with:
Two counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver heroin/fentanyl
Two counts of possession of heroin/fentanyl
Two counts of maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances
Authorities say Dixon was taken to jail and is currently being held without bond.
The investigation is ongoing, and deputies encourage residents to report suspected drug activity in their communities.
