A Dumas man, Charles Williams, 23, was arrested Sunday and charged with second offense theft after allegedly taking items from Walmart without paying.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $2,500 bond Monday after prosecutors demonstrated probable cause to charge Williams with felony theft of property. This follows Williams’ previous misdemeanor theft conviction on June 30, 2024.

Williams is accused of stealing $39.93 worth of merchandise during the latest incident. He is scheduled to return to court on October 20.
