On Thursday, police demolished the house of notorious drug peddler Saurav Partap, also known as Sunny, located at Akash Avenue in the Kot Khalsa area.

Sunny, originally from Hargobind Avenue in Chheharta, Punjab, has around 25 criminal cases registered against him under the NDPS Act and other charges across the state. He was absconding at the time of the demolition.

Following investigations, the police arrested his daughter Muskan and brother Aditya Partap for similar drug-related offenses. Authorities recovered 6 kg of opium, 8 kg of heroin, 2 kg of chemicals used in heroin production, and a pistol from their possession.

The demolished house was built in the name of Sunny’s wife, Savita Partap, at Akash Avenue, Kot Khalsa. According to Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, the house was constructed using ill-gotten money earned through drug trafficking and violated Municipal Corporation building bylaws.

The police took strict action as part of ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking and dismantle criminal networks operating in the region.
