HUBERT, N.C. (WNCT) — Over the weekend, deputies from the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office made three separate arrests involving drugs and firearms.

On Sunday, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by 48-year-old Bobbi Gemmell, who was found to be operating the vehicle with a suspended license. A search of the vehicle revealed 16 grams of methamphetamine concealed in the bottom of a water bottle. Gemmell now faces charges of felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving with a revoked license.

Later that day, another traffic stop on Firetower Road led to significant discoveries. K9 officer Bonito alerted deputies to the presence of drugs in a vehicle, prompting a search that uncovered eight firearms, 10 grams of methamphetamine, and 10 grams of fentanyl. Emanuel Sheppard, 34, and Samantha Howe, 26, both from Jacksonville, were charged. Sheppard faces multiple charges, including possession with intent to manufacture and sell methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances, and carrying concealed weapons. He is being held on a $40,000 secured bond. Howe was charged with possession of methamphetamine and related offenses, with a $2,500 secured bond.

Additionally, during another traffic stop on Saturday, deputies observed 38-year-old Valentino Tucker of Jacksonville throw a bag from his vehicle. After K9 Bonito alerted to the presence of drugs, deputies found $741 in cash, methamphetamine, and marijuana, along with 30 grams of methamphetamine that had been discarded. Tucker is facing numerous charges, including felony possession with intent to manufacture and deliver various controlled substances, and he is currently jailed under a $200,000 secured bond.
