Driver Mahesh Naik Arrested for Stealing Rs2.10 Cr in Nellore

Businessman’s trusted driver flees with cash to Karnataka

Nellore: Police have arrested a driver and his close associates for allegedly stealing Rs2.10 crore from a businessman in Nellore. The accused, Mahesh Naik, had been working as a driver for K. Kondanda Rami Reddy in Balaji Nagar for the past four years.

At a press conference on Tuesday, Nellore Town DSP Sindhu Priya stated that Mahesh Naik stole the large sum of money on September 18 and fled to his native village, Hallare, located in Nanjangud taluka of Mysore district, Karnataka.

Police launched a swift investigation, tracked down Mahesh and his associates, and arrested them. Further details regarding recovery of the stolen cash and involvement of accomplices are awaited as the investigation continues.
