
OWEGO, N.Y. (WBNG) — On June 13, Owego Police responded to a disturbance report on North Avenue where they found a distressed woman interacting with a man.
The suspect, identified as 39-year-old Drew Robert Small from Langhorne, PA, attempted to flee but was apprehended by officers. An investigation revealed Small had unlawfully entered the victim’s apartment, choked her, and prevented her from calling for help by taking her cell phone.
Small also sexually assaulted the victim and attempted to take her vehicle against her will, leading to a confrontation with law enforcement.
Small faces multiple charges including second and third-degree burglary, third-degree aggravated sexual abuse, and second-degree unlawful imprisonment. He was arraigned at the Tioga County Centralized Arraignment Court and is currently held at Tioga County Jail on a $1 million cash or bail bond.
