MOUNTAIN GROVE, Mo. — Dr. Matthew Brown, a physician with Missouri Ozarks Community Health in Mansfield, was arrested on Wednesday, August 20, on charges of domestic assault.
Authorities responded to a Mountain Grove residence on August 16 after a woman reported that she and her children had to hide in the woods during a domestic dispute. According to the woman, she and Dr. Brown got into an argument on the porch, during which he allegedly went inside the home to retrieve a gun.
Following his arrest, a judge placed Dr. Brown under house arrest. He is scheduled to appear before a judge in September.
