PAINTSVILLE, KY – A Lawrence County man is facing multiple drug trafficking charges after police discovered a variety of illegal substances during a late-night traffic stop in Paintsville.
Douglas Paul Baker, 44, of Lowmansville, was pulled over shortly after 11:30 p.m. Saturday by a Paintsville Police officer who noticed his vehicle had expired registration and no license plate light.
After Baker failed a field sobriety test, officers searched the vehicle and discovered a black bag on the passenger seat containing methamphetamine, heroin, and fentanyl.
Baker was arrested at the scene and charged with:
Trafficking in methamphetamine
Trafficking in heroin
Trafficking in fentanyl

He is currently being held at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville on a $10,000 cash bond. The investigation is ongoing.
