Four South Carolina men — Dontrell Monte McDonald, Joseph Commander, Crandall Everett Sr., and Crandall Everett Jr. — have been charged in a large-scale credit card fraud scheme, according to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say the group was involved in a “multi-tiered credit card fraud operation” that targeted businesses in Columbus County, North Carolina. The case centers around the fraudulent purchase of over $23,000 worth of trailers from a business in Whiteville.

Investigators allege the suspects used stolen identity and financial information to carry out the fraudulent transactions. All four individuals have been arrested and are facing multiple charges related to the scheme.

The sheriff’s office emphasized that the case reflects a broader pattern of identity-based financial crimes, and further charges may be pending as the investigation continues.
