Newburg, Md. — Narcotics Enforcement detectives have arrested two men on drug trafficking and firearm charges following a search warrant executed on January 2 in the 12200 block of King Farm Place.
The operation involved both a residence and a vehicle. During the traffic stop of the vehicle linked to the search, authorities recovered approximately $2,000 worth of cocaine, cash, packaging materials, and a fully loaded firearm.
The vehicle’s driver, Donnie David Campbell, 63, of no fixed address, and the passenger, Kelvin Nathaniel Marshall, 64, of Newburg, were both arrested at the scene. They now face a range of serious charges, including:
Illegal possession of a firearm due to prior felony convictions
Drug trafficking with a firearm
Possession with intent to distribute drugs
Possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle
Both men are currently being held at the Charles County Detention Center without bond while the investigation continues.
The case highlights the ongoing efforts of the Narcotics Enforcement Section to tackle drug trafficking and firearm violations in the region. Authorities are encouraging anyone with additional information to come forward as the investigation progresses.
