CHANDLER, Texas (KETK) – Donna Moore, a 53-year-old accountant at East Texas heating and air conditioning company Air Chandler, was arrested Sunday on charges of allegedly stealing up to $300,000 from the business. The Henderson County District Attorney’s Office launched an investigation after Air Chandler owner Mike Chandler provided months of evidence in July.
Mike Chandler expressed his frustration, saying, “It took me four months of nonstop work to save my business from bankruptcy because of this woman. The very people I’ve helped the most were stealing from me all along.”
According to Moore’s arrest affidavit, a Chandler Police Department officer reported that Moore increased her own pay without approval and used a company credit card for unauthorized purchases.
Evidence reviewed before the arrest included a police report filed on August 25, sworn statements from Mike Chandler and a witness who examined Air Chandler’s financial records, payroll documents showing unauthorized pay raises from January 2019 to February 2025, credit card statements with unauthorized charges, and the company’s bank records spanning the same period.
Moore was charged with theft of property between $150,000 and $300,000. She was booked into the Henderson County Jail and released after posting bond.
