In two separate operations carried out on Wednesday, police in Banderdewa, Arunachal Pradesh, arrested four drug peddlers and seized 113.22 grams of heroin, along with cash believed to be proceeds from the drug trade.
According to Naharlagun SP Mihin Gambo, the first operation was conducted at the Banderdewa check gate, where a naka was set up based on intelligence inputs. The police intercepted Dongja Kabak (39), who was riding a scooter. A search in the presence of an executive magistrate and witnesses led to the recovery of 30 vials (39.69 grams) of heroin.
In a second operation, conducted at a hotel near the police training centre in Banderdewa, three individuals were arrested:

Biswa Morang (28)
Makan Doley (50) – the owner of the hotel
During the raid, the team recovered 55 vials (73.55 grams) of heroin and Rs14,060 in cash, suspected to be from drug sales.
The joint operation was led by Banderdewa Officer-in-Charge Kipa Hamak, along with a team of sub-inspectors and assistant sub-inspectors, and personnel from the 138th CRPF battalion.
Police have filed cases under the NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway.
