LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) — A Longview man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday night in Longview.
Dominique Devine Johnson, 28, was taken into custody on Sunday and is charged with first-degree murder. Jail records from Gregg County confirm his arrest.
According to a statement from the Longview Police Department, officers were dispatched at 9:18 p.m. Saturday to the 200 block of Melba Street in response to a reported shooting. Upon arrival, they found Isaiah Ross suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
Police quickly identified Johnson as the primary suspect. With the assistance of Kilgore police, officers located and arrested him in Kilgore.
Johnson is currently being held at the Gregg County Jail as the investigation continues.
