The crime branch has arrested a 27-year-old man, Divyang Rana, for stealing high-value industrial valves worth several lakhs from a company in the Gorwa BIDC area.
A resident of Ranoli, Rana had broken into the industrial firm and stolen multiple valves. While he kept four of them with him, the rest were reportedly handed over to a friend for resale.
Following a tip-off, police apprehended him in the Sayajigunj area and recovered four expensive valves from his possession.
According to officials, Rana is a repeat offender, previously involved in similar thefts targeting various industrial units. He also has multiple cases of gambling registered against him.
The investigation is ongoing as police search for the accomplice and remaining stolen items.
