SAN ANTONIO — A 32-year-old woman has been arrested after deputies discovered she was transporting 83 bundles of crystal methamphetamine in her vehicle near IH-35 S and Shepard Road.
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Department (BCSO) stopped the vehicle on Thursday and made contact with the driver, Dinorah Espinoza. During the search, a BCSO K9 unit helped deputies locate the 83 bundles of meth hidden inside the rear corner panels and seats of the car.
Espinoza was detained and, according to deputies, admitted to knowing about the concealed drugs. She also confessed to having transported similar narcotics shipments to the San Antonio area on prior occasions.
Espinoza was charged with Manufacturing/Delivering a Controlled Substance over 400 grams and is being held at the Bexar County Jail with a bond set at $400,000.
