Dinesh Kumar and Kanaram Arrested in Rs 20 Lakh Theft from Barmer

Branch manager and accomplice steal from Light Micro Finance locker

The Chohtan Police in Barmer arrested Dinesh Kumar, a branch manager, and his accomplice Kanaram on Thursday for allegedly stealing Rs 20 lakh from the locker of Light Micro Finance Co. in Barmer. The police recovered Rs 19.05 lakh from the accused during their arrest.

According to Barmer SP Narendra Singh Meena, the theft occurred on April 15 when Rs 20 lakh was stolen from the company’s locker. The police formed a special team under the leadership of Inspector Rajuram Bamnia to investigate the crime. The team arrested both suspects and seized the motorcycle used for the theft.

During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime. They revealed that they had been planning the theft for two months and executed it systematically. The police have made significant progress in the case and continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the theft.
