ATHENS, Ala. — Authorities arrested Diana Jean Pierce, 64, of Athens, last week after a search of a home on Buckskin Drive uncovered more than four ounces of methamphetamine and a pistol.
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) said Pierce was charged with drug trafficking – methamphetamine on January 13. The operation was carried out by the county’s narcotics unit with assistance from the SWAT team.
Investigators found approximately 120 grams (4.4 ounces) of meth during the search, according to LCSO. Pierce is being held at Limestone County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
Sheriff Joshua McLaughlin praised the teamwork involved, stating, “Cases like this are only possible because of the coordination and trust between our units. We remain fully committed to keeping this dangerous drug out of Limestone County and protecting local families.”
