Diamond Tankard Arrested After Alleged Violent Assault at Nashville Walmart
Former reality TV star Diamond Tankard, 21, was arrested on Friday, July 18, after allegedly attacking a woman with a sock filled with rocks at a Walmart in Nashville, according to Metro Nashville Police.
Officers responded to a reported assault at 3035 Hamilton Church Road, where the victim told police she was using the self-checkout when Tankard suddenly grabbed her by the hair and attacked her. The victim suffered a laceration above her left eye and reported that Tankard stole her iPhone 14, valued at $1,500, and her $900 Louis Vuitton handbag.
The victim’s grandmother told officers that Tankard used a sock filled with rocks as a weapon. Walmart staff provided security footage confirming the incident.
Tankard was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and theft of property. She was released on a $25,000 bond.
This is not Tankard’s first brush with the law. In December, she was charged with attempted first-degree murder for allegedly intentionally striking a woman with her car on November 29.
Tankard is known for her role on Bravo’s reality series Thicker Than Water, which followed the life of gospel-jazz artist and pastor Ben Tankard and his family. Ben Tankard leads Destiny Center Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
