WASHINGTON — The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) today highlighted significant arrests of criminal illegal aliens in Washington D.C. as part of President Trump’s ongoing efforts to combat violent crime in the nation’s capital.
A senior DHS official emphasized, “President Trump is committed to making D.C. safe and beautiful again. ICE and CBP continue to remove dangerous criminal illegal aliens, including gang members, child predators, drug traffickers, and violent offenders. We are working to restore law and order so Americans can safely enjoy the capital’s beauty and history.”
Among those taken off the streets are:
David Perez-Teofani (Mexico): Charged with aggravated sexual battery of a child under 13 and felony indecent liberties.
Wilker Patino-Solis (Venezuela): Tren de Aragua gang member with felony robbery, obstruction of justice, and possession of burglary tools charges.
Jose Candela-Bentura (Mexico): Removed from the U.S. 11 times.
Mario Marquez-Garcia (El Salvador): Arrested for DUI, aggravated assault on a police officer, robbery, and more; eight prior immigration encounters.
Julio Martinez (Mexico): Arrested for simple assault, unlawful entry, and threatening to kidnap.
Marcos Alfredo Garrido-Alvarado (Honduras): Arrested for DUI.
Erick Ayala Cruz (El Salvador): Multiple drug and robbery arrests with an officer safety alert.
Darwin Lopez-Castanon (Guatemala): Previously deported, arrested for assault.
And many others from Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nigeria, India, and Honduras with histories of serious crimes and multiple immigration violations.
