The Dewas Police successfully arrested three members of a notorious interstate gang responsible for over 50 chain-snatching and robbery incidents across India.

Dhaval Kumar Parekh (42) – Arrested from Gujarat; habitual offender with 24 registered cases in Gujarat, Rajasthan, and MP
Rekhabai Parekh (40) – Arrested from Surat, Gujarat
Crime Spree
The gang targeted women in Dewas with incidents recorded on:
Jan 8 – Rukmani Sharma in Radhaganj area
Jan 19 – Usha Navrange while visiting a temple
Jan 18 – Third robbery traced in Ratlam
Investigations revealed attempts in Indore and Ujjain during their spree.
Investigation and Recovery
Under the supervision of SP Punit Gehlot and ASP Jaiveer Singh Bhadauria, a team of 40 police personnel worked for 40 days, scanning over 800 CCTV feeds to trace escape routes and gather technical evidence.

Two gold chains and a gold pendant
Two motorcycles
Mobile phones
During interrogation, the gang confessed to over 50 robberies nationwide, with Dewas forming part of their larger crime network.
Ongoing Investigation
The accused are currently in custody, and Dewas police continue to investigate their involvement in multiple other thefts reported across the country.
