A Greenville resident is facing serious charges following a domestic violence incident. Devontreyl Theodore Horton, 33, was taken into custody by the Greenville Police Department on Tuesday, June 10, near the 100 block of New Hope Road.
According to law enforcement reports, Horton allegedly strangled a woman he was in a relationship with, using both hands until she lost consciousness and began to blackout due to a lack of air.
Horton is currently being held at the Pitt County Detention Center without bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for July 1 at the Pitt County Courthouse.
