A multi-month investigation into Underground Performance LLC led to a significant law enforcement operation in Montgomery County, resulting in the recovery of stolen vehicles, stolen vehicle parts, and multiple arrests.
The Montgomery County Auto Theft Task Force, in collaboration with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team and partner agencies—including the U.S. Marshals, Office of Inspector General, Texas Department of Public Safety, National Insurance Crime Bureau, Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, and Texas Department of Criminal Justice—executed two search warrants on local properties.
Authorities recovered approximately $150,000 worth of stolen vehicles and $15,000 in stolen vehicle parts. During the operation, two firearms were also seized.
Three Conroe residents were charged in connection with the investigation:
Devin Lane Mott, 21, charged with engaging in organized crime and manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.
Chadrick Craft, 24, charged with engaging in organized crime.
Jason Mott, 46, charged with engaging in organized crime while in custody of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
Montgomery County Sheriff Wesley Doolittle praised the operation as a testament to the collaborative effort between agencies.
The Montgomery County Auto Theft Task Force, funded and trained by the Texas Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority, led the investigation.
