The Rohtak unit of the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau (HSNCB) arrested a man for allegedly smuggling heroin in Kharkhoda, Sonepat, recovering 16.15 grams of the illegal substance from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Devender, also known as Goli, a resident of Master Colony, Kharkhoda. Acting on a tip-off, the HSNCB team, led by ASI Deepak, conducted a raid at the location suspected of drug peddling.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of SP Surender Singh Bhoriya and DSP Jagjeet Singh. Following the raid, heroin was found in Devender’s possession, and a case was promptly registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Kharkhoda Police Station.
The investigation into the case is currently underway to identify further links in the smuggling network.
