Des Moines Man Arrested for Stolen F-250 in Adel Theft Incident

Tate Yates, 32, faces felony charges after vehicle theft in Adel

A Des Moines man, 32-year-old Tate Yates, was arrested following an alleged theft incident that occurred in Adel on November 12, 2024. According to court documents, Yates and an accomplice trespassed on a property in the 28000 block of 330th Way around 3 a.m., where they stole a Ford F-250 valued at over $30,000.

The stolen vehicle was later tracked to Yates’ residence in Des Moines. After officers executed a search warrant, they recovered stolen items linked to the crime.

Yates has been charged with a Class C Felony for first-degree theft and is currently being held at the Dallas County Jail on a $10,000 cash or surety bond. Raccoon Valley Radio will provide additional updates as the situation develops.
