Derrick McNamara Arrest Leads to Omaha Drug Bust

Robbery probe uncovers drugs, guns in northwest Omaha home

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) — A robbery investigation in northwest Omaha led to four arrests and the discovery of narcotics and a loaded firearm, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a domestic violence call tied to an armed robbery at a hotel near 103rd Street and Blair High Road. During the investigation, authorities determined the suspect was at a residence near 156th and Ida Street.

When deputies arrived at the location, they found 29-year-old Derrick McNamara in the backyard. He was arrested without incident and booked on charges of robbery, use of a firearm to commit a felony, and third-degree domestic assault.

Following his arrest, the DCSO SWAT team executed a search warrant at the residence, uncovering narcotics and a loaded handgun. Three additional individuals were taken into custody:

Risa Lutton, 42, charged with possession of a controlled substance

Jeremy Smith, 48, charged with prohibited possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance

Derek Archer, 41, charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, non-disclosure of a concealed carry firearm, and a misdemeanor warrant for theft by deception

The investigation remains ongoing.
