FLORENCE, S.C. — A man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery and shooting incident reported last month on Olive Street in Florence.
Deontavis Osarion Williams was taken into custody on Wednesday and faces multiple felony charges including:
Aggravated breach of peace
Kidnapping
Two counts of pointing and presenting a weapon at a person
Robbery
Possession of a weapon during a violent crime
According to the Florence Police Department, the charges stem from an incident on April 16, when Williams allegedly entered the back seat of a car and held two people at gunpoint. He reportedly robbed them during the encounter.
One of the victims, identified as Casey Graham, contacted her boyfriend, who then arrived at the scene and fired shots into a nearby residence believed to be connected to Williams. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Authorities say the shooting is still under investigation.
Two others were also arrested in connection with the wider incident:
Kristopher Anderson was charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime, high and aggravated breach of peace, criminal conspiracy, malicious injury to property, and two counts of discharging a firearm into a dwelling.
Casey Graham was arrested for misprision of a felony, which involves concealing knowledge of a felony crime without reporting it.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
