The accused in a shocking triple murder case in Gariapali village, Deogarh district, has been apprehended after fleeing the scene.
The accused, Ramesh Garia, allegedly killed his wife, daughter-in-law, and four-year-old granddaughter by bludgeoning them with a hammer for unknown reasons late Wednesday night at his residence.
The victims have been identified as:
Kuhul Garia, wife
Lipi Garia, daughter-in-law
Gayatri, four-year-old granddaughter
Following the killings, Ramesh Garia fled the house, causing widespread fear and tension in the village. Villagers eventually discovered him hiding inside a water tank and immediately informed the police.
Police and fire tender officials quickly arrived at the scene and arrested the accused, bringing the harrowing episode to an end. Investigations into the motive and circumstances of the crime are ongoing.
