FLORENCE, Ky. (WKRC) — A 22-year-old man is facing multiple charges after allegedly opening fire on a vehicle with two people inside in Florence, Kentucky.
According to police, Demico Mitchell fired several shots at a car near the intersection of Weaver Road and Mission Lane around 10 p.m. on February 28. The vehicle was struck three times, but remarkably, no one inside was injured.
The victims told investigators they did not know the shooter.
On Thursday, officers arrested Mitchell at his residence, where they also recovered a handgun believed to have been used in the attack.
Mitchell is now facing two counts of attempted murder and two counts of tampering with evidence, according to Florence police.
