Bedminster Township police have identified Demetrius White, who also has ties to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as the suspect in a smash-and-grab theft that occurred in Doylestown Township in 2023.

On September 13, at approximately 5:20 a.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle break-in at a local fitness center. The rear window of a car was smashed, and a wallet was stolen. Subsequently, the stolen credit card was used to purchase three Vanilla Visa prepaid cards with a combined value of $1,500.

Following an extensive investigation, the Doylestown Township Detective Division identified White as the person responsible for using the prepaid cards. Both Bedminster and Doylestown Townships have issued a joint arrest warrant, as the victim resides in Bedminster.

Once apprehended, White is expected to face charges including access device fraud, theft by deception, and receiving stolen property. The investigation is ongoing.
