Delson Williams, Terrance Scott Arrested for Narcotics Trafficking in Fort Myers

Over 90 grams of fentanyl and meth seized in traffic stop

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Two men with prior drug offenses were arrested Sunday night during a traffic stop in Fort Myers, accused of trafficking large quantities of narcotics including fentanyl and crystal methamphetamine.

According to the Fort Myers Police Department, officers stopped a vehicle near Van Buren Street and Washington Avenue in the Dunbar community around 10:30 p.m. A K-9 officer conducted a free air sniff test and alerted officers to the presence of drugs inside the car.

During the search, one occupant, 48-year-old Delson Williams, admitted to having illegal narcotics in the vehicle. The other occupant was identified as 44-year-old Terrance Scott.

Police recovered 33.64 grams of fentanyl, 57.45 grams of crystal meth, and 2.7 grams of MDMA from the vehicle.

Williams was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking fentanyl, and possession of a controlled substance. Scott faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

Both men were taken to Lee County Jail. Records show both Williams and Scott have criminal histories in the Fort Myers area dating back to the late 1990s.
