Delhi Police have arrested two men in separate incidents of house theft, recovering jewellery and cash worth several lakhs.

In the first case, a 28-year-old man was held for allegedly stealing jewellery from his relative’s home in Uttam Nagar, Dwarka. According to DCP (Dwarka) Ankit Singh, the accused even posed as a sub-inspector in an attempt to mislead investigators.

The complainant filed an e-FIR after noticing valuables missing. Investigators found no signs of forced entry, leading them to suspect someone known to the family. During interrogation, the man confessed and revealed that he had hidden the stolen jewellery at his maternal grandfather’s house in Ambota, Himachal Pradesh.

Police recovered two gold chains, two gold rings, a pair of gold earrings and a 20-gram gold biscuit. Section 317, related to stolen property, was added to the case.

In a separate incident in Central Delhi’s Anand Parbat, police arrested a 27-year-old man for allegedly breaking into a house and stealing gold and silver jewellery worth Rs2 lakh, along with Rs11,300 in cash.

DCP (Central) Nidhin Valsan said that acting on a tip-off, the accused, identified as Raj Kumar (27), was arrested from Janta Park on Friday. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
