Delhi Police have arrested four individuals, including two women, and have dismantled a syndicate involved in creating fake Canadian visas, officials announced on Tuesday. The arrested suspects are Gaurav (28), Nitin Sharma (33), Sarabjeet Kaur (29), and Gagandeep Kaur (32).

The case began on September 28 when Kuldeep (21), an Indian passport holder, arrived at IGI Airport for his flight to Canada. During the scrutiny of his travel documents, authorities discovered a fake Canadian visitor visa affixed to his passport. Following this, an FIR was registered, and an investigation was initiated.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (IGI Airport) Usha Rangnani, Kuldeep revealed that he had met an agent named Sandeep through a mutual friend. Sandeep promised to facilitate Kuldeep’s journey to Canada for Rs18 lakh, including job placement upon arrival. Kuldeep paid Rs5 lakh in cash as an advance, with the remaining balance to be settled after reaching Canada.

The police later apprehended Sandeep in Kaithal, Haryana. He informed them that he and his associates were operating a larger syndicate. Subsequently, Gaurav, Nitin, Sarabjeet Kaur, and Gagandeep Kaur were arrested for their involvement in the scam.

During interrogation, it was revealed that Sarabjeet and another associate, Simranpreet, had been posting advertisement videos on their social media accounts, falsely claiming they could guarantee Canadian visas, even in cases of refusal.
