by Ananya Mehta

Delhi Police have arrested two individuals suspected of being part of an interstate heroin trafficking syndicate, seizing approximately 2.034 kilograms of heroin with an estimated market value of Rs10 crore.

The suspects have been identified as Anshul Rana and Ganga Prasad, also known as Vicky. Rana was apprehended in Dwarka near a school-adjacent sports complex, where the heroin was recovered from his bag. Prasad was arrested later in Laxmi Nagar, East Delhi, following information provided by Rana.

Authorities stated that the operation was launched after intelligence reports indicated a major heroin shipment was en route to Dwarka. During questioning, Rana disclosed that he had obtained the heroin from Prasad, who sourced it from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh.

A case has been registered under the relevant provisions, and further investigations are ongoing to dismantle the interstate trafficking network.
